What are the best times to come on a trek/tour/expedition?
The best trekking season starts from mid-September to mid-December. March-May is regarded as the second best season for trekking. You can trek in Upper Mustang, Upper Dolpo, Tsum Valley, and Tibet in June to August. As these areas lie in the rain shadow area, trekking is possible there even during monsoon.
Can I trek in the Himalayas even if I haven't done any trekking before?
Yes, you can trek in the Himalayas even if you don’t have any trekking experience. You need not be an athlete to trek in the Himalayas. But you must be physically strong to trek in the high altitude. You can start from easy trekking and acclimatize gradually to the higher altitude. We can provide perfect trekking package for you based on your fitness level.
What is wilderness trek?
Trekking trails where you can’t get teahouses or lodges are termed as wilderness treks. You must go with your guide, cook, Sherpa and porters and other logistics like tents, sleeping bags, and food stuff. We are operating such treks in different areas in the country including the Kanchenjunga and Makalu regions.
What equipment do you provide? What should I bring myself?
We will provide trekking duffle bag, warm down jacket (on request), sleeping bag (on request) for teahouse trek, and tent, mattress, and kitchen equipment for camping trekking. You need to bring trekking shoes, and other climbing and personal equipment. We will email you the detail equipment list.
